Professional qualifications as a psychotherapist
Gwion completed his clinical training with the Centre for Freudian Analysis & Research in London qualifying as a Lacanian Analyst. He has over 20 years experience in private practice as well as various other clinical settings, including work in a university counselling service and conducting psychological assessments for Mind. He has considerable experience treating patients with a wide variety of presenting issues, ranging from relationship difficulties, anxiety and depressive complaints to broader issues of life change.
Since 2004 Gwion has been Clinical Director of CH Counselling & Psychotherapy a private service based in Worcester city centre hosting a team of practitioners offering a range of therapeutic interventions. He also lectures in the Clinical Psychology Department at Coventry University. His first degree was in Psychology and subsequently gained an MA in Psychoanalysis from Middlesex University. He is a member of the College of Psychoanalysts UK, as well as a Registered Psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. In addition he is a Senior Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and a Registered Member of the British Association of Psychoanalytic & Psychodynamic Supervision.
